Since 1988 I have been developing software for many types of devices in almost every type of company and environment. Working at Disney, and DODs, at AmericanAirlines and not so aerodynamic startups with all different types of developers.
Since 1999 I have been focusing on mobile development, and have build mobile focused solutions for several companies, including a document delivery service, special Location Based Services, and vertical market software like my iPhone app "GymStats".
Over the years I've worked with 'C', Java, JavaME, and now Objective-C. While I have built many technologies and applications for JavaME the cost of entry was so high and the hurdles that US Carriers placed too numerous I had never been able to placed an application into the market until the Apple iPhone™ came to market. With Sun Microsystems failure to keep JavaME the top-end development environment for mobile, and the iPhone bringing a fabulous device and reasonable tools into the market I feel it is time to shift my focus in a new direction, and start building those items that can be used and enjoyed by the masses.
